I'll stand by my claim that there is no such thing as an unsafe bike course, just unsafe riders. But apparently those racing the Giro disagree Here's the course Obviously they haven't raced many crits

It required riders to get their butts up off the seats of their bikes, and some riders who are not so young anymore apparently don't feel like doing that," Zomegnan told the Associated Press. "Instead, it seems like their legs have become shorter and their tongues longer."
I thought they were protesting about the 25 mile rainy descent to the finish a few stages ago in addition to Borillo falling 250ft into a rocky ravine because of a 70+mph descent as well as parked cars on the descent in the stage prior to this one.
